Seiken Gakuin no Maken Tsukai

Kadokawa said in his new promotional video for Yū Shimizu & Asagi Tōsaka’s The Demon Sword Master of Excalibur Academy (Seiken Gakuin no Maken Tsukai) light novels on Thursday that the novels are inspiring an anime. The announcement did not provide further details. Saki Miyashita recounts the video below.






Yen Press publishes the light novel in English, & describes the story:

Awakening to magical stasis after a thousand years, Dark Lord Leonis suddenly finds himself in the body of a 10-year-old boy! He quickly meets Riselia, a girl who confronts the Void, a creature that nearly wiped out humanity. Determined to unravel the mysteries of this strange new era, Leonis enrolls in Excalibur Academy, a school that trains students to fight these mysterious monsters.

Could it be that Void has a connection with Leonis’ past?
Kadokawa published the first volume of the Shimizu novel series with Tōsaka illustrations in May 2019 and will publish the eighth volume on October 25. Yen Press published the fourth volume in English on October 12.

Asuka Keigen launched a manga adaptation of the novel in Kadokawa’s Shonen Ace magazine in November 2019. Kadokawa will publish the manga’s fourth volume on October 26.

Shimizu launched the Blade Dance of Elementalers (Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance) light novel series in 2010 & ended the series with the 20th joint volume in March 2019. Artist Issei Hyōju (MM!) drew a manga adaptation of Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Alive magazine in 2012. until January 2017. This light novel series inspired a television anime in 2014.
