Hiyama Daisuke’s ninth immersive manga band Peter Grill and Philosopher’s Time (Peter Grill’s Kenja no Jikan) announced on Thursday that the manga’s TV anime will have a second season. The animation staff will reveal more details about the second season later.

The first season of the anime premiered in July 2020. Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for home video and digital release, while HIDIVE and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired. HIDIVE also streamed an English dub. Sentai Filmworks released the anime on Blu-ray Disc on October 12th, and here’s the story:

Peter Grill is the most powerful fighter in the world, but his rise to the top had unexpected consequences. Humans, monsters, and women all over the world want to have offspring that are genetically superior. As he is currently devoted to the love of his life, Peter is not very interested in his sudden popularity and any restraint will be necessary for Peter to keep his relationship with himself and his lover in One Piece. Tatsumi directed the animation at Wolfsbane. Nora Mori wrote the screenplay and Rui Ishige drew the character designs. Ninomiya Yui sang the opening song “Tsuranuite Yūtsu” (Piercing Melancholy) with her character Luvelia Sanctos. Hilcrhyme sang the ending theme “Yoridokoro” (Shoulder to Lean). Shusei’s project played an insert song titled “Ti amo”.

Hiyama released the manga on Manga Action in Futabasha in July 2017. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga and released 6 volumes on October 19th.
