Shueisha is currently hosting the cover preview for the December issue of Shueisha’s Ultra Jump magazine. This includes an announcement that Onigunsō’s Mononogatari manga is inspiring a TV anime adaptation. No further details were disclosed in the cover photo. The magazine is officially delivered on Friday.

The manga is about Tsukumogami, a ghost that inhabits ancient objects. The main character, Hyoma Kunato, despises Tsukumogami after stealing something important from him. He comes to Kyoto and lives with Botan Nagatsuki, a girl who loves Tsukumogami and lives with them like her family.

Onigunso published the manga in Shueisha’s Miracle Jump magazine in April 2014, and in January 2016 it was changed to the manga artist Ultra Jump. Shueisha will publish the 13th compilation volume of the manga on Friday. The manga also runs on Shueisha’s Boy Jump + website.

Onigunsō drew the character design for the M3 Dark Metal animation.
